Chris in the Morning - Soul mates

“The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we’re afraid. We fear we will not find love, and when we find it we fear we’ll lose it” Richard Bach.
Life is a funny game isn’t it.  We have this empty emotional void called love we want flooded on a daily basis.  Almost as if we are looking for external validation of our human existence.  Is it really true we all have a soul mate out there, the yin to our jang, the key to our emotional locks?  Maybe.  I can’t say for sure on that one.   I’ve had my fair share of relationships over the years but have never seemed to find that special metaphysical connection the ancient greeks speak of.  I thought I had for awhile during my courtship with Mary Margaret (Maggie).  But the stars hadn’t aligned.  Maybe I’m just not looking hard enough, or as Bach said, living in denial.  Or maybe just “soul mates” is really a matter of acceptance of ones present relationship.  It could be any one person is compatible with number of different characters, it just requires some acceptance of character and personal sacrifice.  But then again, maybe not.  Maybe she is really out there, waiting for me.  I wonder who she is and where, she could be listening right now.
“Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person.” Richard Bach.
